Summary

Mahjong Shifu teaches Chinese Mahjong through local lessons, practice scenes, and game-like challenges. The first App Store release is designed to work without user accounts, advertising, third-party tracking, AI chat or AI content processing, backend user profiles, prize draws, sweepstakes, or lotteries.

Who is responsible for this policy

Mahjong Shifu is responsible for the app and this privacy policy. Privacy questions, access requests, correction requests, deletion requests, and other privacy-related messages can be sent to support@mahjongshifu.com.

Data stored on your device

Mahjong Shifu may store the following information locally on your device:

• lesson progress
• unlocked journey state
• selected language
• sound and haptic settings
• local purchase-entitlement cache

How local data is used

This information is used only to make the app work and keep your learning experience personalized on your device.

Website and technical access data

When you visit this website, the hosting provider or content delivery network may process ordinary technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested URL, referring page, and request time for security, delivery, abuse prevention, and reliability. Mahjong Shifu does not use this website for behavioral advertising or cross-site tracking.

Purchases

Paid unlocks are intended to use Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes payments and provides purchase status. Mahjong Shifu does not receive card numbers, bank information, or Apple ID payment credentials. If server-side purchase validation is added in the future, this policy and App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before release.

Third-party services and SDKs

The first release is designed without advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, social login SDKs, or third-party AI services. Apple services may be used for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, downloads, purchase restoration, and device platform features.

Support requests

If you contact support by email, we may receive the email address and message content you choose to send. We use that information only to respond to your request and improve support quality.

Retention

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, reset it in the app if that option is available, or remove the app. Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain support records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and improve support quality.

Data deletion

You can delete local learning data by deleting the app from your device. Purchase history is managed by your Apple ID and can be restored through Apple's purchase restoration flow. If you contacted support and want a previous support message deleted, contact us at support@mahjongshifu.com.

Your privacy choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection regarding personal information you provided to us, such as support emails. We will respond according to applicable law. These rights do not control purchase records maintained by Apple or technical records maintained by Apple under Apple's own policies.

International processing

If you contact us or visit this website from outside the region where Mahjong Shifu or its service providers operate, your information may be processed in another region. We use the information only for the purposes described in this policy and rely on appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for information we handle. No app, email system, network, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children

Mahjong Shifu is an educational app, but it is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law without appropriate parental or guardian consent. The first release does not require account creation or personal information submission.

Changes

If Mahjong Shifu later adds accounts, cloud sync, analytics, crash-reporting SDKs, push notifications, AI features, advertising, referral rewards, contests, or prize campaigns, this privacy policy and the App Store privacy label will be updated before those features are released.
